Placedoc gives you your own email address for paperwork. Forward a receipt, a bill, a boarding pass, a warranty, a school form — anything — and Placedoc reads it, files it away, and remembers what's inside. Later, when you need to find that warranty, check what you paid for the car repair, or pull up the kids' permission slip, just ask. Everything you've ever forwarded stays in one place, searchable in plain English.
Placedoc is the knowledge base for your documents. You get a private email address ([email protected]). Forward any invoice, receipt, contract, statement, or letter to it and Placedoc reads it, writes a plain-language summary, and sends it where it belongs — invoices into your books, contracts into your Drive folder, receipts into your expense tracker — without you sorting a thing.
Placedoc plugs into the tools you already use every day: Slack, Discord, Notion, Airtable, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Dropbox, Jira, Confluence, Asana, Trello, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, QuickBooks, Xero, and a generic webhook for everything else.
Every document you forward in becomes part of a permanent, searchable knowledge base. You can ask natural-language questions across everything you've ever received ("how much did I spend at Whole Foods last quarter?", "when does my Acme Cloud contract renew?") and run custom reports against your documents. Documents stay until you delete them — there is no automatic retention sweep.
Placedoc fits two kinds of people. Households who want every bill, statement, lease, and warranty in one searchable place. And freelancers, side-hustles, and small businesses who want their paperwork to file itself straight into the books. Pricing starts free, with paid tiers from $15/month. Your documents are encrypted and never used to train AI.
Placedoc reads each document and decides what kind of thing it is — the same way you would, only a few thousand times faster. Need a category we don't have? Rename one, or add your own in a click.
Don't make us another tab. Placedoc connects to the tools your team already lives in — and writes structured records straight into them.
Placedoc plugs into the workflow you already have. Forward a document, and Placedoc takes care of parsing, summarizing, and filing it where your team will actually see it.
Sign up and Placedoc generates a private workspace address like [email protected]. Share it with vendors, suppliers, and teammates, or use it as the forwarding target from Gmail, Outlook, or any other inbox.
Forward invoices, contracts, receipts, statements, letters, research reports, or any other email — with or without attachments. Placedoc accepts PDFs, scans, images, and plain text equally well.
Placedoc identifies the document type, extracts the key fields — vendor, counterparty, amount, due date, signature status, totals — and writes a plain-language summary your team can scan in seconds.
Placedoc posts a notification to Slack, appends a row to Airtable, drops a page in Notion, files an asset in Google Drive, opens a Linear issue, or threads back in Gmail — whatever your routing rules say. The original document is always one click away.
Every forwarded document joins one searchable knowledge base. Ask a plain-English question, group by category, vendor, or month, and export the answer to CSV.
Every workspace exposes an MCP endpoint. Point Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or any MCP-aware assistant at it and run reports across your archive from the chat you already use.
Slice by vendor, category, time period, amount, or any extracted field.
One click sends any report straight to your accountant, spreadsheet, or books.
Documents stay until you delete them, so reports cover every quarter you've used Placedoc.
Placedoc is built for individuals — people running a household, freelancers tracking expenses, and anyone who keeps important documents and never wants to dig through email to find them again.
Forward every utility bill, internet invoice, and credit-card statement to Placedoc. Get a due-date calendar across all of them, ask "what did electricity cost last winter?", and never miss a payment because the email got buried.
Forward every receipt and expense email to Placedoc throughout the year. At tax time, run a report grouped by category and export the lot to CSV — no shoebox, no last-minute scrambling, no "did I deduct this already?"
Forward client invoices, software subscriptions, and contractor receipts. Placedoc files structured records in Airtable, tracks unpaid invoices, and gives you a one-question answer for "how much have I spent on AI tools this year?"
Lease agreements, insurance policies, warranty cards, school letters, medical letters, vehicle paperwork. Forward each one when it arrives and Placedoc keeps a permanent, searchable record so you can find any of them by asking, not digging.
Forward long PDFs, research reports, and newsletters you'll never get around to reading in full. Placedoc gives you a clean summary plus a Notion or Drive entry — skim the gist; deep-read only what's worth your time.
Placedoc is the knowledge base for your documents. It gives you a private email address you can forward invoices, receipts, contracts, statements, and letters to. Placedoc parses each document with AI, summarizes it, files it in the tools you already use (Slack, Discord, Notion, Airtable, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Dropbox, Jira, Confluence, Asana, Trello, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, QuickBooks, Xero, or a generic webhook), and keeps every document searchable so you can ask questions and run reports across everything you've ever received.
Two kinds of people. First, households who are tired of losing bills, leases, warranties, and statements to the email pile — Placedoc keeps them all in one searchable place. Second, freelancers, side-hustles, and small businesses who want every invoice and receipt to land straight in the books the moment it arrives — no shoebox, no manual sorting, no end-of-month catch-up.
A Gmail folder is a pile. Placedoc reads every document, extracts the structured details (vendor, amount, due date, term), writes a plain-language summary, files records to the tools you already use, and lets you ask natural-language questions like 'how much did I spend at Whole Foods last quarter?' across your entire archive. Gmail and Drive store; Placedoc understands.
Yes. Every document you forward in joins one permanent, searchable knowledge base. You can run custom reports against it — group by category, vendor, or month; filter by amount, due date, or any extracted field; and export the result to CSV in one click. You can also ask plain-English questions like 'how much did I spend on software in Q1?' or 'when does my Acme Cloud contract renew?' and get an answer in seconds. The same data is reachable from Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-aware assistant via your workspace's MCP endpoint.
Forwarded mail is delivered to your private Placedoc knowledge base. Placedoc parses the document, routes it to the destinations you configured (Slack, Discord, Notion, Airtable, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Dropbox, Jira, Confluence, Asana, Trello, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, QuickBooks, Xero, or a generic webhook), and keeps an encrypted copy in your knowledge base so you can search, ask questions, and run reports against it. Your documents stay until you delete them.
Every document Placedoc receives is encrypted at rest with AES-256 using envelope encryption. Attachments and extracted text are also encrypted. Documents stay in your knowledge base until you choose to delete them — when you do, the ciphertext, extracted text, embeddings, and summary are permanently removed.
No. Placedoc never uses your documents to train models. Your documents are used only to produce the parsed output and summary that Placedoc returns to you. Placedoc uses enterprise foundation models under strict no-train terms.
Yes. Placedoc treats the message body as additional context and the attachment as the primary artifact. If there is no attachment, Placedoc parses the message body itself, so plain-text emails work just as well as PDFs.
Placedoc accepts PDF, Word (.doc/.docx), Excel (.xls/.xlsx), CSV, plain text, RTF, and images (JPG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF, GIF, WebP). The maximum size per attachment is 25 MB.
Placedoc integrates with Slack, Discord, Notion, Airtable, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Dropbox, Jira, Confluence, Asana, Trello, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, QuickBooks, and Xero — plus a generic webhook for anything else (Zapier, Make, n8n, or your own services). You can route different document types to different destinations, so invoices land in Airtable while contracts file themselves in your Legal folder on Google Drive.
Yes. Every Placedoc workspace exposes a Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoint, so you can connect it to Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or any MCP-aware AI assistant and ask questions across your documents from there. The MCP token is rotatable from your settings page.
Open the document and press the Delete button in the sidebar. The attachment, extracted text, embeddings, and summary are permanently removed — there's no retention countdown and no auto-sweep, you decide when each document leaves your knowledge base.
Placedoc has a Free tier ($0/mo, 100 AI credits per month), Starter ($15/mo, 1,500 credits), Pro ($35/mo, 4,000 credits, larger knowledge base, priority support), and Advanced ($59/mo, 8,000 credits, highest throughput). All paid tiers include every integration. Billing is monthly in USD.
